Meeting my girlfriend's mech for the first time and this thing is so tiny I'm really not sure how she fits in it. The limbs are spindly and bend the wrong way, and the torso at the center is barely large enough to fit a head. But the guns... the guns tower over all three of us. "No! Don't touch it, it's too fragile, it'll fall apart!"

You'd expect that, as someone who is constantly thinking about outer space, I'd be most awed by the sheer breadth of the vacuum. I am awed by it, make no mistake- but as of late I've been more fixated on the pressures of the Ocean. i'm kind of partial to the "when it all comes down to dust i will kill you if i must i will help you if i can/when it all comes down to dust i will help you if i must i will kill you if i can" from leonard cohen's story of isaac
